I have a couple of signs in my home that simply read “Faith, Hope, Love.”

I was thinking about that simple presentation and that the Lord said, in 1 Corinthians 13:13, these three things are eternal with the greatest of them being Love.

Without minimizing the depth of any other revelation the Spirit has to bring to this verse I wanted to share what I was meditating on about them …

Though it does not always appear so, God is orderly. He utilizes process. He put in place a process that started with a couple, Abraham and Sarah, so that thousands of years later there could be a Jesus. The miraculous never happens by accident. It is always the result of a process and a plan and almost always involves people …

Just so, this verse. It is a process. We have Faith in Him which produces Hope for Us which we then share and express as Love for Others. In doing so, we duplicate the process that found and saved us and we extend the process as others come to Faith in Him and find Hope for Themselves and begin to Love Others.

But this all sprang from the Father’s heart of Love. So that is the greatest. Created in His image and to be like Him, our goal is Love for Others.

Yes, along the way, we find these three things for ourselves. But Faith, Hope and Love are not designed to be an end for us … they are always to be a spend for us, invested in the legacies we leave and the destinies of those whom He Loves through us.

All around you today are people who are lonely, scared, isolated and hopeless. Be aware that God may interrupt your day and ask you to share some of your Hope, in Love so those folks might come to Faith and extend the process …
